Aaron Chowning has spent the last 15 years working with and being an advocate for young people and their families as a youth minister, YMCA program director, and an educator. Of those 15 years, the last 10 years have been in the field of education, first as an Admissions Counselor for a university, then as a teacher, and most recently as a High School Principal. With his bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management and his master’s degree in Secondary Education, he not only possesses the book knowledge, but also the real-world experience in areas of education.

Aaron recently resigned his position as Principal of Melissa High School to start Rising Scholars with his wife. Rising Scholars is an educational support provider for parents and students in the North Texas area. Rising cholars specializes in providing K-12th grade students personalized quality in-home tutors in areas such as math, science, English, reading, college and career prep, and other subjects. Aaron also provides educational workshops for local parents. In fact, blogs posted on this website are published works of his in local newspapers that are the inspiration for many of his workshops.
Aaron’s strengths lie in his ability to get to know people quickly, his clear and honest communication, and in public speaking. He is passionate about helping students maximize their potential while helping families manage their way through privately or publicly educating their child.
